The vote goes to the Gerry Holian trained Balliniska Woods on grounds of his superior draw.
Last year’s Sprinter of the Year Johnny Gatillo has maintained his form impressively and the Martin Lanney trained speedster looks a solid bet in the second heat. Caution is advised with Vera Croarkin’s Tahina Speed in great form just now and he also has an ideal draw. But Johnny will take beating.
