Former sprinter of the year Johnny Gatillo will be chasing another major prize on Friday when he contests the final of the Peggy Kelly Islandbridge Sprint at Harold’s Cross.

The Martin Lanney trained Johnny Gatillo is well into his fifth year and was winning his 35^th race on Friday last when maintaining his unbeaten record in this competition. He has a strike rate of more than 50 per cent and that is remarkable by any standards.

This promises to be a high class final and, truly, cases can be made for all the finalists. Question is, though, can they stop Johnny from making it 36?
